Offa's Dyke: Welshpool to Llanymynech, waterside walking, 10 m

This section is level walking with visits to the quiet towpath of the Montgomery Canal and two passages along the River Severn, a quiet, contemplative stretch, quite appropriate for the associated musical topic.

Scenically, the interest is focused on Breidden Hill and its neighbours, which rise sharply from the valley near Criggion.
